Stephan Gassner, your host

Stephan Gassner is the middle of the three Gassner sons and has been with the company since 2016. Stephan completed a classical, tourism training as a restaurant specialist in the Hotel Sacher. In 2015, he took over the management of the ****Hotel Sonnalp in Saalbach-Hinterglemm. When this was returned to the lessor in 2018, Stephan returned to Salzburg and has since been host of Schlosswirt and managing director of the Gassner companies.

With us at Schlosswirt since 2013 and together with his team he is responsible for your culinary well-being. Sebastian lives with his wife and two delightful children at the beautiful Irrsee. In 2021, he completed his training as a certified mushroom connoisseur and is happy to bring his collected treasures to Schlosswirt, many of them ending up on our menu.

Laura Pichler, our chef

Laura is the creative soul in the Schlosswirt kitchen. She discovered her passion for cooking during her training at the Fischerwirt. After several years as head chef at the popular Restaurant Triangel in Salzburg, she worked for the Gassner Betriebe at Schloss Hellbrunn for the first time in 2023 and shortly afterwards moved to the Schlosswirt as sous chef. Since the beginning of the year, she has been running the kitchen with passion, calm and dedication. Together with restaurant manager Sebastian, she enjoys experimenting and is constantly creating new, unusual dishes - always with the focus on Austrian cuisine.

The Schlosswirt team is a big family. Stephan Gassner, the middle son of the Gassner family, has been running the hotel since 2018 with a great deal of warmth and closeness to the staff.
